The hotel is lovely, rooms lovely and breakfast was superb but to be charged £18.05 for a large glass of Sauvignon and a HALF PINT OF TENNENTS LAGER was just ridiculous! That'll be my last visit, sorry Hilton!

Great location just a 10 min walk into town. Room was great, we opted for 2 queen beds loads of space. Bar was busy and atmosphere good. Great value for money. Pool good but hot tub was very hot!!

The hotel is well located with plenty of shops restaurants and things to do locally. Staff are really friendly and the hotel entrance gave a good first impression. Things that I found a bit disappointing- 1.We arrived early and our rooms were ready, but in order to go in early we had to pay £20. I can't understand why they do this if they've already prepared the room. I'd understand if you were paying for them to prioritise cleaning and prep. 2.£18 per day to park is steep for hotel residence. 3.The rooms need an update. The bath plug did not seal so the water slowly disappears. It also had soap scum in the water when I first filled it telling me it wasn't properly cleaned. 4.No info in the rooms on local information, spa access details, breakfast times etc. 5. It was very noisy through the night from other rooms and also the bathroom fan which is particularly loud. Overall it was convenient for a weekend trip. Staff in the restaurant and on reception were very nice and helpful and gave suggestions of things to do and places to eat when we arrived. I would recommend overall and I share the above small comments as room for improvement.

I have stayed here the past few weeks for work, great hotel and location. Facilities are good but some gym equipment needs some maintenance or replaced. What makes the hotel great though is the staff, they’re always happy to help and friendly. Cara and Gayle do an amazing job with the evening service at dinner do a great job even when clearly short staffed, they work their socks off and always make you feel welcome. Would come back and stay at this hotel.

Cracking food as usual in this restaurant. Staff on shift were excellent and attentive. Cara in particular was the cherry on top this evening, adding her wacky and funny personality to the mix. Couldn't have asked for more!

Business trip to Glasgow. Stayed at the doubletree many many times and always a great experience. Cara and Cammy were on top form this evening, and I was served promptly and politely by both. A credit to the hotel. Cheers 🍻

Cammy and Gayle were extremely helpful to a poor weary traveller and most hospitable. A highly commend both staff members.

I had the pleasure of having afternoon tea with three other ladies and we couldn’t praise it enough. The food was excellent and the service first class. Our waitress Evelyn was so professional and attentive.She couldn’t do enough for us. I also have to mention the manageress Joanna who was so welcoming, helpful and friendly. The whole experience was excellent enhanced by a very relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely afternoon tea.
